Jeff Swearingen

Jeff Swearingen

Lead Pastor
E-mail Jeff Swearingen

Jeff and his wife Peg started Crosspoint and have lived in Cape Coral for 17 years. A graduate of Cincinnati Christian University, he has been serving local churches for over 25 years.

When Jeff’s not leading our team or preparing Sunday’s message he enjoys watching college football and basketball and hanging out with his family. He’s an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan, but we don’t hold that against him. He enjoys all the Bourne movies and anything written by Max Lucado.

Jeff and Peg have two sons, Michael and Matt who are both serving in ministry.

Jeff decided to follow Jesus at age 12 and while the journey has had its ups and downs he grows to love Him more all the time.

He is challenged regularly by Acts 15:19,

We should not make it difficult for the Gentiles who are turning to God.

Shelly Teders

Shelly Teders

Director of Ministries & Operations
E-mail Shelly Teders

A country girl at heart and originally from Indiana, Shelly and her family moved to Cape Coral in 2004. She joined Crosspoint in 2009 after owning and managing a business management consulting firm for seventeen years. In 2016 she took on a new role at CP and oversees and supports Crosspoint’s ministry staff and operations. Shelly is passionate about encouraging and equipping others to use their gifts and achieve their best. She is thankful to be part of a church that cares deeply for others and whose mission is to point people to Jesus and make disciples.

Shelly was in her late twenties when Jesus changed the course of her life and she fully committed her life to following Jesus. Her favorite passage of scripture is Proverbs 3:5-6…

Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.

She and her husband, Mark, have been blessed with two children, Peyton and Jordynn. Shelly loves being outdoors, playing tennis and pickleball, kayaking or paddle boarding, and hanging out with friends. She does have a competitive side that comes out when playing games. She was even a contestant on The Price is Right. She’d like you to “Come on Down!” to Crosspoint and see what makes Crosspoint such a great community!

Rick Setser

Rick Setser

Worship and Creative Arts
E-mail Rick Setser

At Crosspoint, we have earplugs available for our services because our Director of Worship and Creative Arts knows how to rock! Rick left chilly Wisconsin in 2010 to join the Crosspoint team, and has been busy bringing his vision for worship to life ever since. He feels that Crosspoint is home because he loves seeing people living out the words of Jesus together.

He and his beautiful wife, Kimberlee, live in Cape Coral with their 2 adorable children Lennon and Elliot, and their rescue puppy, Ginger. When he is not writing music, Rick enjoys reading historical fiction, fishing, and eating. He also says that online gaming is a must for any music nerd. His favorite Bible verse?

I know that the Lord is great,
that our Lord is greater than all gods.
The Lord does whatever pleases him,
in the heavens and on the earth,
in the seas and all their depths.
He makes clouds rise from the ends of the earth;
he sends lightning with the rain
and brings out the wind from his storehouses.— Psalm 135:5-7

Krystal Gibbs

Krystal Gibbs

Kidpoint
E-mail Krystal Gibbs

When Krystal and her family left Crosspoint in 2008 to relocate to Birmingham, Alabama, we were all incredibly saddened. However, God used those four years to mold her as she helped create curriculum while working with a children’s ministry in a Birmingham church. In 2012, the Gibbs’ were called back to Cape Coral and the Crosspoint family when the Kidpoint Director opportunity arose. Since joining Crosspoint’s staff, she has continued to create a loving and secure environment for our babies to elementary age children.

Krystal lives in Cape Coral with her wonderful husband, Jim, daughter Emerson, son Colin, and a dog, Gizmo. She was blessed with childhood friends who introduced her to God and in her twenties she was baptized and dedicated her life to following Christ. A degree in Marine Biology and prior research work training dolphins explains her passion for the ocean and interest in outdoor activities. She loves spending time with family and friends and trying new things. Her passion for people makes her a perfect fit for Kidpoint Director, and she is excited to be part of a church that has such a love for their community.

Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.— Proverbs 22:6

Matt grew up in Cape Coral and graduated from Mariner High School in 2011. He has been a part of Crosspoint since our beginning serving in a variety of roles since he was in middle school. He decided to follow Jesus when he was 9 years old. He is currently enrolled in Johnson University Online pursuing his Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies. Matt joined our staff team in August of 2013.

Matt lives in North Fort Myers with his awesome wife Abbi. Matt loves watching superhero movies, playing with his Golden Retriever puppy Maximus and cheering on his Buckeyes.

A scripture that keeps Matt focused and motivated is John 4:35

Don’t you have a saying, ‘It’s still four months until harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.

E-mail Josh Warfield

At Crosspoint, Life Groups are at the core of who we are. We are thrilled to have Josh Warfield to oversee this vital ministry that connects people to Christ & community. Serving in full-time ministry since 2008, Josh and his wife Christina, and their two beautiful girls Emma & Elaina moved from Idaho to Cape Coral in May of 2016 to join our team. Josh loves to hunt, fish, and spend time with people! And to top it off… he’s a Buckeyes fan, which always earns “brownie points” from Pastor Jeff! Josh’s favorite verse is John 15:5,

I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

Kim Feikert was born and raised in southwest Florida, and was a member of the original Crosspoint launch team in 2006. Her degree in Public Relations from USF helps her to serve as the Administrative Coordinator, where she leads the day-to-day operations of the Crosspoint office and provides support for the Lead Pastor. Baptized in 1999, Kim loves that Crosspoint is a growing family that loves to serve one another and our Cape Coral community. She and her husband, Adam, are raising three wonderful children, Tyler, Trinity, and Tobin. Kim loves to travel, and considers herself a “foodie” who loves to cook and try new foods! With her busy schedule, it helps to remember Phil. 4:13

I can do all things through Christ, who gives me strength.
